New Years Resolutions 2019

I've decided that this year I would make New Years Resolutions. I don't normally make them but since I had a pretty crappy year last year I thought it would be a good way to make a change, so here they are!

1. End of 2019 to be at my goal weight

My aim is to lose 2lbs per month for the whole year. If I manage to do it then that will put me at my target weight and about the same weight as I was on my wedding day.

2. January detox

I need to kick the New Year off with a bit of a health detox so I'm not drinking any alcohol for the month of January and also decided to not have any chocolate or bread either. The alcohol won't be a problem as I'm not really a big drinker anyway but I absolutely love chocolate and bread. Hopefully this will also be a big help with my first 2lbs weight loss.

3. Find a new job

My maternity leave has now finished and I need to find a new job. I need a part time job, ideally with evening and weekend hours so that we don't have to pay for childcare. It will most likely mean that me and Jake won't really see each other for the next year until Sophie starts nursery as one will be coming home from work as the other goes out. It will be difficult but it will only be for a couple of years and then I can switch to day time school hours which will be much easier.

4. Make more time for me

I need to make more time for myself and the things that I like to do. Whether that be blogging, reading or just sitting and taking a few minutes to collect my thoughts.

5. Complete a 72 hour fast

I managed to do 60 hours towards the end of last year and it was Sammy having a meltdown before I was prescribed anti depressants that broke me. I can't even remember what I ended up eating but I knew I couldn't deal with him without any energy from food. I have wanted to do a 3 day fast for years so this year, after doing 60 hours quite easily, I'm finally going to do the full 72 hours!

6. Learn how to use my camera

I finally got myself a new camera for Christmas! I got a Canon M100 and I have absolutely no idea how to use anything other than the auto settings on it. I would love to take some amazing pictures so I need to learn about all the aperture and ISO settings which currently might as well be French as they mean nothing to me whatsoever.

7. Blog twice a week and create 4 weeks of scheduled posts

I really need to be more organised with my blog posts. Every time I think I'm getting somewhere and set myself challenges, life gets in the way and I end up not having the time to write posts. I'd like to be able to post twice a week from now on but I also know that to do this without stressing myself out, I need to have 4 weeks of posts scheduled as a buffer for when life gets in the way. That means writing 8 posts ahead. So I've done myself a blog plan from now till April of topics to blog about so that I can just sit and write them as I have the time. Sometimes I have time to write 2 or 3 posts in one sitting but if I have no plan of what to write, I spend the time coming up with ideas and planning instead of actual writing. So now, I have a list done that I can just work my way through and get my posts pre written.

I'd love to know what your New Years Resolutions are? Let me know in the comments!
